THIS IS MY EMAIL WHICH I SENT THEM---------------------
Respected Sir/Madam,

As per the notice/announcement issued by the Board of Studies(ICAI) for NOV 2010 & MAY 2011 exams following were the provisions applicable for Winding up(Chapter no.9 of study material)

[EXTRACT OF THE ANNOUNCEMENT]

Applicability of relevant Amendments/Circulars/Notifications/Regulations etc. relating to Corporate and Allied Laws for May 2011, Examination:

Companies [relating to Winding Up]

[Students have been advised to study only the general provisions of winding up as covered under Paragraph 9.4 of chapter 9 of the study material]

If we refer the ICAI study material for law regarding chapter no.9 (para 9.4)----then only general provisions are applicable i.e section 528 to 560. BUT THE QUESTIONS WHICH APPEARED IN MAY 2011 LAW PAPERS WERE BASED ON FOLLOWING PROVISIONS

QUESTION NO.2(b)--- IT WAS BASED ON SECTION 428 (CONTRIBUTORIES)-------8 MARKS
QUESTION NO.6(a)--- IT WAS BASED ON SECTION 433(e),434 & 439(5)---------------8 MARKS

SO I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IN SUCH SITUATION WHAT WILL THE STEPS Board of Studies(ICAI) WUD TAKE?? SO THAT STUDENTS ARE NOT KEPT AT A DISADVANTAGEOUS POSITION.

HOPE TO GET SOME POSITIVE RESPONSE.

This mail is sent in the interest of all the CA Final students appeared in May 2011 exams.

Thanks & regards

u cant  take  that  stand  in final that  it  is out  of  syallbus and  all

so  chill  out  what  ever  u do  it  of no use now

Hi frndz.. from my point of view, nothing is out of syllabus.. contributory is what we learnt in PCC Accounts and Bench marking is what we learnt in PCC Strategic Management... so they are expecting CA final students to remember all those things we learnt earlier..
