CA Final IDT recommended books

Which is a good book for IDT apart from ICAI study material?  Is N S Govindan or V S Datey better?

Datey is the best book but its very big
You can also go for Students Guide to IDT by Bangar (blue color book)

If u believe on notes then go through the notes of mr. Ajay Jain its very much sufficient to clear the Exam with good marks

Ajay jain sir notes are enough more sufficient, if u have attend classes at ISS. Otherwise it doesn't serve the purpose for a newcomer.

Bangar n bangar is very good but in the exa the questions are twisted

Refer latest scanner n in that yu can refer suggested for answers but for the latest changes u can see the reference points given in the scanner itself at the end of the chapter. theser points are like summary of the answer n believe me r very useful for revision on the exam day.

study material alongwith any updated book or notes for reference is enough to pass the examination.

In last attempt I read Vitheswaran book just one week due to my office busy, I got 55 marks.  With my knowledge, it is enough for passing the IDT subject.  But analytical skills required for apllying the theory to problematic and cases.

Hi SC,
Dont you think Datey is very big... Also when I read it first time I found it to be very difficult.Anyway I am studying from that book only :)
Can any one give some tips for Indirect Tax

Hey Skanda..yes datey is huge! i am studying from the ICAI TB essentially and jus reading through Datey to ensure im not caught unaware at the exam. so that way i don think it will feel so burdensome. anyhow good luck to u!
