I was wondering that why have you asked me to delay the preparation of MAFA?

A new batch for MAFA coaching starts from Feb'13, and I was keen on joining that.

So, pls could you specify your reasoning behind it?

yes parul..u can always do that no problem.... i just didnt want u to pressurize urself with 2 tuitions at a time cince u said that u have full fledged audit season in which u wont b able to study properly.....u can do MAFA from FEB and advanced management acc in nov...but rememebr one thing....after completion of mafa tuitions ..dont neglect it completely.....ppl tend to do dat..and they forget everything after 1 year..:)

as u have mentioned u have audit season in april-sep 14....if u wont be able to study that time.how will u complete ur tuitions then??....ACC,IDT and DT tuitions are generally taken 1 year prior to the exams..plz have a chat wid ur fellow articles and principal regarding leave for tuitions.

Yes Raunak..I have audit season Apr-Sept'13 as well as '14 which would be indispensable to miss.

I plan to take a 5 month leave.(Dec'14-Apr'15), wouldn't that be sufficient?

I will start coaching for DT,IDT & Adv Acc. after Sept'14.

nooooo parul...starting 3 tuitions juss 6 months before the finals is very risky...and each subject tutions take minimum of 4-5 months..since u want to clear both groups in one shot..u will need atleast 3 months to revise!!...plz again i suggest u....try to complete maximum tuitions by nov 14...

These subjects keep changing right? Last minute prep is the most suitable for it?

they dont change so much else all DT,IDt tutions wud have started 6months before only....further last minute preparation is ok wen u r giving only 1 grp at a time.....since u will b givin both the grps..u will need atleast 3 months to revise....for that u must have completed maximum of ur tuitions by nov-14...u can do DT/IDt from nov 14.. starting all 3 in nov 14..means all tutions will end in april 15....u will have to go tuitions everyday frm nov to april...wen will u revise other subjects and wen will u revise these 3?? april 15?? one month beofre the exams?

very sensible advise raunak.. I am doing the same thing. My attempt is in May 2014. I have already covered up AMA, Audit, SFM. Currently preparing Accounts and ISCA. Then during may-nov 13 I will cover up DT, IDT and Law. Hence I ll be left with 6 clear months for self study and any amendment classes if required. and yes, we must revise all these subjects side by side..

Fine. I will look forward to complete all my coaching till nov.'14 and from Dec'14 (where my leave period will start), I will do self study at home n revise all the coachings.

In ref to Udit Jain, I think coaching for all the subjects is necessary at this point with the articleship preiod as we wouldn't really get time for self-study.

Moreover, with IPCC being a first hand experience, Final requires advanced knowledge in all the subjects.
