Ca final at the age of 36yrs

Dear All,

I work in a Pvt company with a 9.30am – 7pm schedule. Is it advisable to complete CA final at the age of 36 yrs. Will it make any difference. Will it be awkward to sit for the exams again.

It would be advisable if it gets you a promotion,increment or better opportunities elsewhere. Further there is no reason to feel awkward as everyone in the exam centre is tensed and focusing on their own last minute preparation and no one else has time to look elsewhere.

I have taken 20 days leave before exam to write both groups, i was ended up with clearing Group-2 in Nov-16 exams,as same i am doing now,i too work in a private company as Internal Auditor. Accoding to my views nothing can stop u... if ur confident and determinded person, i am sure u can win definatly on one day

Thanks to all for taking it positively. Actually I am short of confidence. But since my growth in professional life has become stagnant I want to complete my CA.

As I have mentioned my office timings, I am planning to appear for May 2018. I will have to do self study as taking coaching classes is not possible. All tough papers of 2nd Group are left.

I have seen even old people in their 50 taking up c.a exams ..so it is not a problem if you take. at the age of 36

Age is just a number.... in 2015 when I'm appearing for CS.. my side mate is around 60's age...I just saluted him in my mind ..... (we looked at each other casually and exchanged just a plain smile..I still don't know why Sir gave attempt at that age of 60's.)... you can go Sir......

it is better be a little be awkward now if actually it is rather than being living on a sense of incompleteness and appearing at last after the retirement...all the best sir you can definitely do it...

It would be awesome if you complete your CA Final even at this age. but might be difficult for you since your working hours is 9:30 to 19:00. you need to dedicate alot of time to cover up the syllabus because it is vast. Maybe taking leave of 15-20days before exams might help you. About feeling awkward, When I went for writing IPCC exams many senior people used to come for writing exams and after all exams were over we used to say that "Wow! Even at this age, this guys is so much dedicated to write exams!!"
