Can any body tell me what is the procedure to apply for CA after completion of B.Com. For the person who had passed B.com in the month of June, when will be he eligible to appear for CA exam. What is the procedure to pursue Accounting Technicians course

Eligibility
A student who has passed the Class 10 examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in
A registered student may appear in Common Proficiency Test after he has appeared in the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognised by the Central Government as equivalent thereto and has complied with such requirements as may be specified by the Council from time to time.
A student who has got himself registered for Common Proficiency Test 60 days prior to the first day of the month in which CPT examination is to be held can appear in the examination i.e. on or before 1st April and 1st October for appearing in CPT examination to be held in June and December respectively. Common Proficiency Test examinations are held in June & December every year.
So there is no scheme of things like student can directly appear for exam equivalent to PEII after completing B.Com. He will have to go through CPT. Can somebody reply my query.
No. As per the new scheme one can't directly appear to Intermediate level (which is IPCC now). He must have to give n pass CPT. Then only he can give IPCC then 3 yrs. articleship then Final.
So it goes like this first U have to appear for CPT. Say U give CPT in dec. 2010. After that U will register for IPCC n the first attempt U will get will be in Nov. 2011. U have to pass I group in order to commence your articleship n after the completion of 3 yrs. articleship n having passed IPCC (Both Groups) the earliest attempt of Final U will get will be in Nov. 2014. So this is the approximated earliest time in which U will become CA given U clear all the exams in very first shot. N there r some other eligibility requirements tht u hv to fulfil like to sit for IPCC U hv to undergo I.T. Training of 100 hrs. n Orientation Programme of 35 hrs.
