CA as a Career

CA is the good course and challenging.It requires lot of effort.Bcom - will be like a stone Infront of hill -CA.
It requires minimum 5 years if you start from foundation.But if you have score good marks in BCOM then you may get exemption from first level.

You have to spent some amount for coaching classes.If you succeed then you may become a king else you may loose everything.

If you want to study CA then you must quit your job since you have to do 3 years training under a practicing chartered accountant.

Every year there will be change in few subjects.
You need to study long hours daily.

Main drawback is that the course will change in every 5 years and old students suffer like anything..
