CA articleship - stipend

IT IS TRUE, ICAI HAVE TO TAKE STEPS TO INCREASE THE STIPEND MINIMUM RS 7500/-

I agree, because even i had to take a break from articleship and join a job in a BPO to finance my studies. With what i was receiving every month of full time training, wasn't enough for me continue CA Final studies.

We work as good as full time employees and devote 8-12 hours a day in training. Institute should consider this issue of increasing the stipend amount.

Agreeing with u will not solve the problem.  ca institute is only for the members not for students.  They treat student article like slaves.  Institute need bonded workers for 3 years so that members will run their firms efficiently.  Articleship experience is not fruitful to everybody as some gets in Big Firms and some gets in very Small Firms where they are treated like a peon.  There are student who never even attend single day at ca office and cleared there ca final at first stroke.  We need hell of a revolution in article training and stipend amount. 

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS ARTICLE STIPENT IS LESS THAN A SWEEPER OF GOVT. OF MAHARASHTRA. 

I don’t understand u people at CCI after every 10 days someone is here to complaint about stipend. According to me stipend problem can be solved by only 3 ways, be a president of ICAI to raise the stipend after u become CA ( which is technically unpredictable at this moment)  OR all the students of ICAI file a PIL about stipend amount (which is technically impossible) OR You have to be a president of India (for this u should have strong political background like (RAHUL GANDHI)

Stipend will never be raise as per the market standards because when whosoever reading this becomes ca in future will need qualified and efficient labor force at lowest remuneration.  So try to concentrate on being ca and that’s that

But in some cities if the student pass both groups at a time. there are few firms which they are paying 16 to 25000. 1 year 8 to 12000. 2nd year 16 to 20000. 3 year 20 to 25000.. it depends upon a student skills and knowledge. wheather he/she passed a one group or both. and paying them on their qualification too.. because some students are coming directly after 10+2. so for intermediate students. it is better to pay low. there are some students who completed MBA and then coming to this profession they are getting more than what they expected.. on conditionally..

I think we cn send mail to the Board of Studies head, the Secretary or other people mail IDs Requesting them to revise the payscale of Article as per the Inflation rate. Atleast the Salary given shd be sufficient for us to continue Studies without depending on Parent/Guardian.

Yes this is a real big issue.

No doubt about that,the insttute is wirking for its members,not for the students.

And it also pains me seeing that,fe forum users protest about us demanding higher salaries.One word to them, since u are in the process of becoming a ca,learn what is your right to get.the amount which u are getting is very much below market rates

A mba intern after 1st year gets nearly 10-15 thousand as stipend from a not so big college easily.

whereas after heavy toil,a ca intern gets a max of 2000 after 1 month from an ordinary firm.

At that same point i understand not every firm will be able to pay its articles with a salary of 10k + .

Also institute needs to radically change its position.

If it wants to attract talent and retain it, it also needs to change its position about its articleship ..I think an article can lear everything within 2 years.its enough for a person because he gets vat audit, stat audit plus stock taking if we consider the quarters.

in this way firms will not be burdened and it will also be helpful for a graduate.

P.s-From my example  .I have completed in 2010 and recently gave my ipcc in may 2011.But from my calculations what i found that i will be 26 at earliest,if i clear my finals which is unlikely becuse i have messed my tax this year :(

So my economic condiions are  a bit deplorable,and i 'm thinking to leave this and go for an mba ,as i had gven it last year also and secured calls from top colleges in the country..unluckily which i cud'nt convert.

That was my side of story.I'm sure many of theirs had their own.Only prob is the institute is sitting with a deaf ear.

FIRST THING DEAR MEMBERS.. IF YOU HAVE EXPECTING MORE STIPEND THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE  GREATER QUALIFICATION. SECOND THING IF YOU ARE EXPECTING MORE STIPEND  WORK WILL  ALSO MORE IN BIGGER FIRMS YOU CANT EVEN EXPECT THAT PARTICULAR THING ( EXAMPLE BIG 4 FIRMS ) OR OTHER.. THERE IS NO CHANCE OF STUDYING OR SOME TIME SPEND ON BOOKS THIS WILL BE MINUS POINT. WHERE AS IN SMALL FIRMS THEY PAY LESS AND THEY GIVE TIME TO STUDY.. DEPENDING UPON THE SITUATIONS.. WORK . AND THEIR PERSONAL MENTALITY. 

BUT ALL STUDENTS ARE COMING TOGETHER IN CCI. YOU STUDENTS CAN DO SOMETHING. BY SEND LOTS OF MAILS TO ICAI.. I THINK THEY WILL TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDER.. (MAYBE OR MAY NOT BE)
