We are dealing with garments located at Mumbai registered with Maharashtra Vat.
In regular course of business we had given certain fabrics t for convert the same in ready made in Garments at factory in gujarat.
they chareged us CST on Labour Job and Now Demanding C form while STO of Mumbai denied to issue c form on labour job bill.
Pl tell me how to go about.

If there is the denial by STO office, then the factory to whom u have sold Fabrics pay them the remainin tax amount. in a Sense if the State Tax is 5% and CST charged is 2% then pay them remainin 3% and ask them to deposit while filin their montly returns..
You can not issue C forms on labour jobs, you have to pay full tax on such bills, however if the job work is executed on full documentation and done on pure job basis then CST is not chargable. for job work procedure visit the excise forum.
Agreed...C Form can't be issued for Job work charges
C form is applicable only for sale of goods not for labour.
