What are the documents to be checked when a private limited company opening a new branch. Do they need to register in ROC and obtain licence and any other formalities as such

As per my opinion, for opening new branches of private limited company u just required to pass board resolution to give effect of the same.

Yes, TIN & CST Registration are also not required to file with ROC.
But TIN & CST Registration applicability depends upon the place of such branch (i.e. law of state government of branch)
