We are having a proprieter business in delhi..now we are going to open a new branch in another city with same name and the nature of business is also same..do we need to maintain separate books there?

if u r opening new branch its better for u to maintain seperate set of books for branch

in the end u get net figure of profit and loss and combined it with head office

also if ur branch is in another city it will not be practical possible for you to maintain same books

it would be very difficult to bring vouchers etc on daily basis
