A Piece of wood in the form of a cuboid 5" × 8" × 13" has all its six faces painted pink. If the wooden block is cut into 520 cubes of 1" × 1" × 1", how many of these would have pink paint on them?

EXPLANATION:

THERE ARE SIX LATERAL FACES:

TWO FACES OF DIMENSION : 5 * 8

TWO FACES OF DIMENSION : 5 * 13

TWO FACES OF DIMENSION : 8 * 13

SURFACE AREA OF ABOVE FACES WOULD BE ((5X8)+(5X13)+(8X13)) x 2 = 418
