if a furniture is sold for 36900 on 16-11-2019 and the closing wdv is 23000 as on 31-3-20
how do I calculate the book value of the furniture for the purpose of depreciation under companies act ?

Depreciation on furniture will be calculate up to date of sale in books and then you can calculate the profit and loss on sale of furniture
