Is a BIS certification required for importing a wireless doorbell Hs code 85318000 from China to India? My 1 shipment is stuck in Indian customs and they are asking me BIS certificate kindly help me

As per our understanding, BIS will not be quired for items of CTH 8531. Even Icegate - CCR requirements do not state BIS is required. Refer below link.

You may ask Customs about the BIS number and BIS regulation details under which they are insisting on BIS.
