Sonali in my opinion first you should give your examination, because you can get another chance to join the middle firm or even big firm but you will never get a chance to complete your study again.
Meanwhile if you wish you can join small firm.

Hey hi sonali......if the condition is so serious....i would advice u rather to go for ur ca attempt...i mean take registration b4 may'08.....dun delay ur attempt of ca in any case....yaar B.Com. is always inferior to ca...n whereas question of gettin in med. firm is concerned, u can do it anytime u want....so dun get confused and go for ca first...ok.

hey....i too think that CA is more important..... you can any time take a transfer to BIG or MED firms.... besides experience of any kind is important...plus the more younger age you complete CA it would be most beneficial for you!!!

...the news that insti. is going to stop transfers is only in draft stage...it's not announced yet...but still even if it's banned..then sonali you can always do secondment or employement in big firms...they provide that...but the only click in that is your small firm's principal is ready to give you dummy(in a way, it will be coz ur not working under him whether it is secondment or employment)...but if he is ready then you can always join any firm...for that, i will suggest you to register under any c.a. who's known to ur family....like sum uncle etc..then he wont have any problem in givin u transfer,...

I just want to ask you why are you so eager to join big firms...i tell u your answer....it provides name, fame and better exposure...now listen the practicality...there's only 1% thruth to it...these things inhibit in you not in firm from where you are doin ur articles....like if ur comm. is good, its in u....i've seen ppl in big firms knowin nothin but only bl**dy politics of big firms..so if you truely want to learn, go for small or either medium firm...and 1 more thing, what you might be thinkin as exposure is nothing coz ARTICLESHIP TENURE IS NOT CONSIDERED AS WORK-EXPERIENCE...so it wont help a lot in r interview...n u know what sonali...the only thing which matters is becoming a ca....if u r a ca in first attempt..not just any big firm but BIG 4's will die to take u...you can learn then also what you want to...but if you do articles fm big 4 now and become c.a. in 5 attempts...whats the use yaar...

Well , the mesages' out here are spot on..
It is defiantely necessary tht you concentrate on your CA..
As far as the articleship is concerned.. It does help when you are trying to get a job if you have graduated from the Big firms'.. But remember one thing that , the work load in the Big firms' is tremondous' , moreover getting a leave for the exams' is generally on your boss & it decreases as your attempts' increase..
So, it is better if you get into a " hasel free " firm ( Generally small..) However , if you can manage your studies with the work load than so be it ... But , please don't do it at the cost of being a CA..
Warm Regards' ,

i am sure sonali that now you are clear with what to do.... i am in a small firm.....there are no other articles at my place.... so the entire presuure is on me.....so i get to learn maximum.... it all depends on what kind of attitude you show towards work....if u work properly ur principal will give you more work than others....so take ur pick....n try balancing stuuf at any fimr...BIG or SMALL....chow~~
