Do not worry...it will not take much time or they will not put you on hold.
Submit ur CV and keep looking for other opportunities.

I would also suggest you to please send your CV to all the leading CA Firms including BIG 4 and wait for the positive reply. I am sure they will surely recruit you on the basis of your CV.

When I had sent my CV to KPMG through my Friend (An article). I got a call within 2 hours.
So, it depends on their requirement and your influence.
