Laptop in office is getting more popular these days, every laptop company has a range of notebook Called " commercial range" , which is very strong build laptop and ideal for office. 

To type your message faster  PC would be suitable unless you have a laptop with external key board and if you have to carry very often in times of travel Laptop is preferable .Instead of Laptop sometimes I prefer note book in the sense though costlier than laptop it is very light and easy to carry
