What are the practical benefits of a company?
I mean i know that it has limited liability, perpetual sucsession.
But what i want to ask is what is the reason that people want to convert their business into a pvt. limited company?

The very important benefit of the company is that it is distinct entity. Practically speaking being a legal body people will have much reliability in dealing with Company than that of dealing with a sole proprietor. Apart from those benefits which are worded in huge books. The above is one of the biggest benefit of a company that i personally feel.
