Belated Return filing through New Income Tax Portal

Sorry to differ, but I want to confirm if the section is not selected 139(4) instead of 139(1) so the Income Tax portal does not validate the return and is not allowed to file the return.

Exactly... One of my client is waiting from 10 days .. how to change section number...?

You can download the latest offline utility from the IT site  (for specific ITR) and prepare offline. Carefully select 139(4) the first time itself

I tried online filing but couldn't select the option 139 (4). But there were no validation errors in spite of this. But I didn't submit. Then I downloaded the offline line utility, filled it and filed.

I do not see there any dropdown for selecting 139(4). Option 139(4) is dimmed out. How to handle this if I want to submit online.

If the date is already passed then 139(1) should have been dimmed. or at least 139(4) should have been selectable.
