want to have feed back on my following query,
as it is known to all that service tax is deposited on receipt of payment, for this receipt ot payment what should be the basis transaction date of Bank statement or value date.
e.g we have deposited cheque in bank on 30th Oct'2010 saturday for which we get clear balance on 1st Nov'2010 and Bank statement shows value date as 30th Oct'2010 and Transaction date as 1st Nov'2010. then in which month we should deposit service tax pertaining to that transaction.
