Well Nilesh just go through varous books published by author, institute guidelines available on website of institue, recent ICAI journals, RBI requirement and most importantly the profile of bank you are working with what is there requirement in which field they are active and in what format they want the report

There is a guidance note issued by ICAI on Audit of Banks. Once you are certain of the areas you would have to verify, there is a index in there, it makes life much easy.
Another good thing to do would be to discuss with your seniors and seek the checklist they have used. Most of the banks have started issuing checklists for audits.
