Bank account selection issue - ITR1

Dear All,

Hope you can help me.

I am filing ITR1 online for my aunt. I notice a glitch. On personal info I have checked only one validated account for refund credit. Others are closed (at the bank) but still in validation without any outcome in IT Filing website.

Despite me unchecking all except one for refund credit on the final preview it is automatically selecting all bank accounts for refund credit.  Here it's all read-only. I can not change anything. This is a glitch. My aunts refund may not get processed if it goes to closed account.

Is anyone else facing this issue? Am I missing something? Any inputs shall be good to know. Thx in advance.

See if you can remove the closed accounts from the profile and try again. Since this data is pre-filled, am not sure whether you will have to import the pre-filled data once again.

Thanks for the reply. There's nothing in closed account section on the efiling website. So I can not remove them. I know the accounts are closed but they have not failed validation. The whole process of validation is initiated by the portal without me doing anything anywhere upon very first login to the new portal.

I thought in the ITR1 online screen I can uncheck the refund option for those bank accounts as seen in the upper part of the screenshot. But as seen in the lower part of screenshot system automatically takes it as selected for refund credit again on last page!

I have repeated the process 3 times up till now by clearing the earlier draft but it does the same thing once again. 

What I meant is:

Go to profile, select bank accounts and delete what's not relevant.

Thank you. In profile you can only delete an account if it is Validated or Failed. In other instances, there's no option to delete the account. I can not delete Validated account because then there's no valid account to accept refund and other accounts are closed in the bank but IT portal is validating then on its own since eternity! They have not also failed in validation

 If in ITR1 form I remove an account on personal info section, then it should get removed in the final form. System still counting it  on last page and automatically ticking it for refund is a nasty software bug.

Looks like I am the only one affected right now. I am sure many more queries will come when others face the same issue.

In the ITR form where bank details are listed (top section of your screenshot), there are 3-dots in the top right for each bank accounts. Click on it and select delete account.

The thing is in ITR1 Online form, when I attempt to delete the account, it directs me to the efiling site once again, where it's not possible as per the issues described.

However then I downloaded the offline utility and since after downloading json file, it has no more link to online data, it allows me to delete all problematic accounts from the offline form and in the final preview, selects only the one that I choose for refund credit.

So it's working only in offline utility for now but not online form. Thanks  a lot for helping me.
