HEY FELLOW ARTICLES,
IS THERE ANY GUIDLINES BY ICAI THAT STUDENTS PERSUING REGULAR B.COM(HONS) COURSE CANT UNDERGO CA?
I HAVE COMPLETED MY 1 YR OF ARTICLESHIP.WILL IT GO WASTE?? PLEASE SUGGEST.I AM IN GREAT DILLEMA.

Who said this yar... i am A.C.A,I am A.C.S,I am B.COM(H)..I did everything at same time.. You can pursue one course at a time..If you are just doing C.A along with your B.COM than you will not get any probs but if you are pursuing othercourses also than i suggest you will submit form.12 in the inst and talk to regional council they will be give you best suggestion..But there is no harm doing b.com (h) with C.A..I did everything together
BUT I HAVE HEARD THAT IT IS NEW GUIDLINES ISSUED IN THIS MONTH OF CA JOURNAL.
Than yar i like to suggest you..Dont take anybodies opinion simply go to inst and talk to them..they are the best person to advice

The eligibility of CPT arises after passing Class 12. So how can ICAI issue such a guideline, prohibiting Bcom? Regarding the informing aspect, we never informed ICAI about Bcom bcoz its understood that a person who enters CA after Class 12, will ALSO do his grads.
But still, why leave it to chance...better clarify abt it with ur nearest ICAI branch office. Or why dont u grab the Feb journal u r talkin abt and see for yourself?

But CA is allowed you pursuing one additional course and for othercourse you have to feel form 12

But Mr. nand kishor is only doing Bcom along with CA. He isnt doing a 3rd course. Then where is the confusion?
@ Nand Kishor, the best option is to hit at the problem's root. Just download or get the hard copy of this months' journal which u mentioned and see whether what u have heard is correct or not. And as Amit bhaiya has said, just go and ask at the Institute. thats the safest solution.
