Dear All,
After appointing an auditor there has been an discrepancy among the board of directors and they formed as two group. And the two groups severally issue notice to the auditor threatening him of criminal action for not taking or conducting the audit. What would be the auditor's response to the notices and his stand in this matter.

Your question is not very clear. U mean BOD formed two grp and one is right and other is wrong and forcing to conduct audit and produce the result they want by hiding true facts.
If this is the case, then auditor may resign from the post of statutoy auditor in that co.
He can publish notice in newspaper that he is nt continuing as auditor and he will not be liable for the audit of the company.
If he is getting threatening then he should go to police....
