Auditor Eligibility
Can internal auditor be the tax auditor of the unlisted limited company.

Internal Auditor cannot be appointed as Tax Auditor of the Company.
Reason: Position of the Tax Auditor is that of Statutory Auditor. If internal auditor will be appointed as Tax Auditor, then, it will result in compromise of "Independence" .

Tax auditor and Statutory auditor can be same auditor or different auditors in a company. Both of these functions are attestation person. The independence of the auditor will be effected. Internal auditor cannot be statutory auditor.
