Audit Vs Auditing
How could I better appreciate the difference between the words audit and auditing ? or both the words(Audit , Auditing) convey the same meaning ?

I thing same meaning
what do you think about the words market , marketing? both (market , marketing) convey the same meaning or not ?
Can be used interchangeably,NO difference. Usage of these terms depends on sentence formation.
Example --
1.During the course of AUDIT, statutory auditor must be independent
2.Statutory auditor must ensure his independence while AUDITING the financial statements.
Note-- but there is difference between cost and costing,accountancy and accounting,etc...
