AUDIT (Tax Audit in case of Commission Agent)

Dear Sir ,

Client is a commission agent in apmc market and main source of income is commission(7 lacs) only but in GST he is showing sales(8 cr.) So for tax audit turnover limit should be checked or not and if on a safer side we do tax audit Whether sales figure to be shown or commission figure in 3CD report?

Thanks

It seems there are 2 business. One is apmc market - spices and dryfruit trading and second is commission income.

If you are showing commission income as income from business and profession, then report sales and commission figures in 3CD report.

You can get tax audit done on safer side under proviso to 44AD

There is only one business , he sales on behalf of farmers so he collects gst and pays it but his actual income is only commission so in gst his turnover shows 8 cr. but in actual his commission income is only 7 lac rs.

If cash transactions are <5%, then no tax audit up to a turnover of Rs.10cr from AY21-22.

But what if most of the transactions are in cash?

No tax audit  in this case upto turnover rs. 10crore

APMC agriculture agent are exempted from GST then why GST turnover is coming it seems he is General trader. Question need more clarification and clarity
