The best audit software for small and medium enterprises is MS excel.
Now every accounting software can export data in Exel format.

In what context did u mean audit software? What is the purpose?

I suggest you all to have a look at SoftCAAT introduced by the famous accounting software company Tally.This is an amazing audit software

Yes The One agrees SOFTCAAT is a marvelous audit software that can automate lot of processes like sampling, stratification, identification of duplicates, gaps, fraud detection, compliance testing, trend analysis, combining files and more!!

However all companies do not use Tally and therefore one needs to be profecient in using the DATA ANALYSIS add-in provided in MS-Excel itself which can do most if not all these tasks.

There is one another tool named Caatalyze; it is a good tool, it has lot of options inbuilt, which is not available with excel...
