Hello,

Kindly give information regarding Account auditing of owner's association(not registered society). Our Chairman & secretory are not giving proper account details of our flats coomon accounts & showing irrelevant expenses in balancesheet.

Kindly give me guidance for how to go for account audit of our owner's association under any statutory provisions.

Thank you,

Mayur.

Audit can be done by chartered accountant, he will verify each and everything, there is no compulsion for audit but if you request CA, then it can be done.

Dear Navinji,

Thank you for reply. Can you guide me further, Is there any legal/statutory provision to go for Audit of my owner's association accounts because they are showing huge expenses which are irrelevant with facts & also not replying properly to our queries.

Chairman & secretarory do not have their title clear of their own individual propoerty  & we have title clear of our property, though they are neither handing over management nor accounts.

So request to guide in this.

As I said that there is no statutory provision unless profit is less than 8% or turnover is more than 100 lakhs.
