In a case where all the members of the audit committee are from non - commerece background but they have previously held higher managerial posts in the corporate world can be aapointed as the members of the audit commitee?
Act says at least one person shud be financial expert.....
I solicit ur opinion regarding the issue

Dear ,'Financial Expert' dosent mean that Commercial Background is must. its a matter of Interpreation. Take an example of RELIANCE IDS. in its BOD non of the directors comes with Commercial Background, than also it is leading in the world.
Actually I am not talking about their capability or success factor....
I am purely trying to get the provision of company law.

No, there isn't any such requirement to have members from commercial background. However , obvsly the directors belong to commercial background.
Refer section 292A of Companies Act.
