Hi AYUSH the date u mentioned is definately correct....

But, i'm not sure for this coz i think some new amendment stated that new students are able to give their FINALS attempt on completion of 3 years articleship.... but i'm not sure of this amendment.. it was posted on CACLUB some time ago...........

Othervise NOVEMBER 2011 is sure the attempt

that is not criteria........

criteria is articleship should be complete.................

I don't know exactly, but I have heared that you can take exams in last year of articleship. The competion of articleship is old rule. What pooja is saying seems correct. but better for pooja is to contact ICAI for this purpose instead of getting confused.

Hi pooja, don't know on which no u contact, but i alwz contact on 011-39893989 and they do respond.....

Moreover, i think the 6 months were known..., 12 months are heard., rather read for first time

A PE-II pass-out can appear during the last 12 months of his articled training

but a PCC pass-out can only appear after completion of his articled training,

CA Final Old or New course doesn't really matter.

Yes. 011-39893989 is correct number and they do attend it mostly. I have another number i.e. 011-23370055, but I dont know whether its working now or not. Just try for once. ALl the best.

 i spoke bout d same 2a newly elected central council memeber n he said dat d said ammendment is expctd n march 2010. n will b applicable for ppl havin attempt from may 11. i.e. u can give d exm 6 mths pendin ur articleship.

Hiee Pooja, If u cleared "PE2" then u can appear for Finals in May 2010 Since till then u wud hav completed 2 years of articleship which is required for "PE2" students.

Else the cretiris of 3 years, etc for other students i.e. PCC/ IPCC...

Thanks everbody. I have called the institute and got confirmation that my attempt would be in May'2010.

 I too was very consufed and ran helter-skelter for clarification in my days, but since i was a PE-2 student but got CA Final New Course, i am allowed to sit for the next exam which is due after 2 years of Articleship.

I registered for Articleshop on 1st October, 2008. So i my 2 years ends on 1st October ,2010. So i am eligible to appear in next succeeding exam, ie, November 2010.

I hope i have explained it clearly.
