Assessment year applicable for pe 2 -income tax

Dear friends,

I am appearing for PE 2 in May 2008.

Kindly let me know the Assessement year applicable for PE 2 - Income Tax paper and also let me know the areas to concentrate in Income / CST Paper so as to get minimum 60 marks.

Please let me know the areas with marks weightage also.

Please tell me which text book to refer to so as to make the above possible i.e 60 marks.

you can use Singhania, for scoring good marks study full course. all the five heads properly. CST will help in scoring marks.deduction are imp.please refer all the amendments. AY 2008-09.

T N MANOHARANS BOOK IS VERY GOOD FOR YOY, PL.READ THE RULES ACT WHICH IS IMPORTANT THEN YOU WILL GIVE ANSWERS TO THE QUESTIONS FOR MAY EXAM AY 2008-09 AMENDMENTS ARE ASK

A.Y 2008-09, amendments upto 31oct 2007. CST is comparatively a smaller chapter, it must be read thoroughly to get at least 20 out of the 25 marks.

^^ Yes CST has to be prepared throughly and Thanks Biswas for giving the Date of Amendments as i had a query about Rent Free Accommodation change in Rule 3(1) here /forum/messages/2008/3/7398_amendment_in_rent_free_accomaodation_for_may_2008.asp
