Disclosure requirements of AS 13, whether applicable for Investment in Building, Land....

Disclosure requirements of AS-13:

Accounting policies for determining carrying amount of investments
Classification of investments
Agreegate value of quoted and unquoted investments
Amount included in the profit and loss account for interest or dividends received or disposal of investments etc.

As-13 is applicable for invetment in land and bilding subject to the investment made with an intention to earn capital appreciation.

for ex..if a company purchased a building not for its bussiness but for earning rent by letting out, then it is not a fixed asset ,it is regarded as investment as per AS-13
