During my articleship period i took 4 months holiday for my PCC exams, which inlcudes my TYBCOm Exams. So whether MY Principal is Liable to Pay me Stipend for the said Period of Leave, or Should not pay me? What if he doesnt pays me then whether he is liable to extend my articleship period to if i exceed the prescribed limits as granted by the Institute. Waiting for your Reply. Hi... as such, we are allotted 1/6th part as leave of our articleship tenure... So, with that respect, u shd be allowed for 6months.... But, as u've already taken with 4 months, the remaining is jst 2 months... So, for finals u take only 2 months (which is practically not possible), then only ur boss will approve all the things.... [ Saying this all, i believe that almost all the articles are facing such problem, i.e excess leave then alloted.... But at the end, ur boss approves or not such leave depends on ur behaviour wid him and ur performance... Like, i too got 4 months for PCC & TY B.COM.., and pretty sure to get same for FINALS, my boss won't mind it.]......
And for the stipend, its the most debateable and cotroversial thing... As some do pay and many don't.... Noone can force for the same to their boss as they are the only GODFATHER till our articleship ends... Better, leave this issue atleast, as almost none of us get stipend for leave period.... [I didnt say tht such non-payment is legal, but u can't force even]...
