I cleared my Group 1 of IPCC in November 2012 and I'm to write my Group 2 in May 2013.
I want to register for my articles now so as to not delay my final attempt. But what I'm confused about is whether I should do dummy articles till May so that I have time to study. Will firms take me after 5 months of registration and no experience?
Definitely now. But don't ever use the word "dummy". Just ask for preparation leave. If you are giving your attempt in this May, leave from April 1st will be more than enough for IPCC group II. But do study from now onwards atleast for 4-5 hours a day. Good luck

Without successful completion of ITT and Orientation Program, one is not allowed to commence his/her articleship. And I'm afraid there isn't any remedy in this regard. The only thing that you can do is to first complete them and then commence your articleship.

I will suggest you to keep your concentration on May 2013, attempt because you have only 2 months for exam. As you said that you have already completed OP and ITT so it will be easy for you that after completing May, 2013 exam you can join article ship.
