my frd has cleared her ipcc in nov10 and doing articleship with one of the top firm in mumbai which specialises in internal audit ,she is confused whether to do her full articleship in internal audit or not?she is thinking of applying to big4 and ask for working in tax dept?so would it better that she take transfer and work in big4 in any area other than internal audit?plz help

hey aditi as far as i m concerned internal audit is better than tax....it gives u the whole aspect of how a company works....if u go in big 4 there is further bifurcation in the tax dept....ake due care ....what appears big from outside may not be beautiful from inside....best wishes.....

I am also in sharp & tannan (internal audit ). presentli iam at gujrat fluorochemical ltd for capex and internal audit. you will get complete knowledge of SAP, ORACLE, company's customized software in internal audit .
though tax is very important but in many firms they give only basic knowledge such as filing of returns,drafting rectification letter.

Internal audit is better if want to do job after becoming CA. . . . As i think but big 4 provide more advantage in resume.
