Articleship in KPOs and Financial institutions

Aisha ji you may tell me the progress of ICAI with respect to articleship in KPO`s and other Financial companies.I think in news published by you there was a proposal in ICAI further progress we could not collect.

I guess the proposal is floated .. but will take some time .. if i recall by 2009 it should start happenin .. not sure though

THE INSTITUTE HAS TAKEN A STEP,BY CALLING A MEETING WITH GOVT. OFFCIALS, BUT THE DECISION IS PENDING.THE MAIN REASON BEING THE TOP CA FIRMS,WHO ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THIS STEP. U CAN ALSO SEARCH HERE 4 MORE DETAILS

Actually I have already send the suggestion in this regards to ICAI. It is bad sign with profession if it is shop of some effective persons. There must be transparency every where and every thing must be decided with a discussion. A survey has been conducted by CACLUBINDIA and I think there was positive support to articleship through KPO and other financial institutions.

Proposal will take some time.
