The institute have enrolled the direct entry scheme so that more people can join CA course but the fact is that hardly any firm know about this scheme and all big 4 and other top mid size firms don't even have idea of any such scheme. and the worst clause in the scheme is that u have to complete 8 months articleship and then can give exam. by the time u complete 8 months article ship and give exam and result comes we complete 1 year of articleship and then we can't take transfer at all. the worst things is big and medium firm don't give articleship before IPCC so have to join very small firm and later transfer is not allowed so the efforts which u do to pass IPCC gets wasted. as there is no way we can join a bigger firm. this is not helping students instead stopping then even after they have high caliber.

What the big firms are doing is logically correct. B.Com is a relatively easy degree, and there are chances that the person might not be able to clear IPCC (general thought). And the knowledge at B.Com level is also very basic (general thought) .No big firm would waste their resources and money on a person, whos future is so uncertain. This scheme of ICAI doesn't make much sense in my opinion. Article ship should start only after the student has cleared IPCC.
