Hello to all,

I hav a query regarding articleship. Recently i have heard frm a few people that the Minimum Articleship Period to appear for CA Final has been changed to 2yrs from 2&1/2 yrs. I wanted to clarify upon that. Is it true or just a rumour?

This is regarding Articleship after passing PE2, Not CPT.

Pls help.

I cleared in NOV 2006 exam. i have final in MAY 2009

girish, i hav a confusion again. u had given PE2 in Nov 06, PASSED it in Jan 07. Joined articleship in may be Jan itself, or Feb 2007. Then 2and 1/2 yrs wont be completed b4 May 2009. Isnt it? Is the 2& 1/2 yr period being calculated from the date of JOINING articleship or from Passing PE. U hav got me even more confused.

yeah the mimimum period of articleship befor appearing for the CA Final is 2 year. Its been there from an year

After passing PE-2, if u enrolled in old syllabus... then minimum artileship period to for CA final is 2 year.( Example mine... i registered on 7 april 07 and my first attempt is on may 09.) And if u enroled under new syllabus then final exma omes after 2 1/2 years

This is true. U can give ur finals after 2 years of articleship.

Agree with Balraj's point now stop discussing on this matter. old syllabus- 2 years after the date of joining new syllabus-2 and 1/2 years after the date of joining. Iam enrolled under old syllabus.

girish, u were the 1st person to jump up & say its 2&1/2 yrs!!! Did u forget abt ur own Syllabus? and why r u so angry? Why do u mind if people r trying to resolve my doubt. Not everyone is confused like u! :-)
