Article-ship Vs Paid Assistant(Urgent)

I didnt heard of such facility available. Anyway, the details available in CA website is reproduced below for your information.

Under the Present Scheme of Education & Training three years of articleship training has been designed to strike a balance between theoretical education and practical training. A student can also undergo audit training. Eight months of audit training is treated as equivalent to six months of articleship training.

hi sandy,

the first thing is that the articleship training can be started after passing 1st group of IPCC, not CPT

i.e u can not join a CA for articleship purpose before result.

Furthur as said by you regarding paid assistent.

there is no such provision.

& The 8 months of audit assistent tarining (not paid assistent training) under a ca is equivalent to 6 months of articleship training

Sandy, is it true that Before clearing IPCC group one can go for Articleship, if any source please provide me the link for articleship before clearing IPCC group One.

This is wrongly understood.Audit(Paid) Assistant is different from Article Assistant.I too worked in a firm as a paid assistant for 1.3years.I cleared my inter in May 2012.So went and enquired about this in CA Institute. They told me:

Audit Assistant training Period is for 4 years.One would become eligible for that

  1.When he completes one year of training under a chartered accountant after completing his graduation or CPT(Eligibility Criteria)

2. After Clearing Inter(IPCC/PCC),He can register for Audit Assistant with the institute (Which is for 4years after clearing your Inter).

3.After Registering as Audit Assistant  if  you think to be Article Assistant and not Audit Assistant below provision is considered

"Eight months of audit training is treated as equivalent to six months of articleship training."(Sadly since 1982,only 2 or 3  people has done this Audit Assistant Training).

This is the Exact thing about Audit training 8 months=articleship 6monthd

I have worked under a CA firm for 4 1/2 year. and completed 2 year 8 month regular articleship. kindly advice how can i get the articleship exemption as i finished such service after registered to PE II/Inter before pass PEII/INter
