Are1 for multiple items

Hi,

I am working in an industry where there are almost 50-100 different items in one sales invoice. Regarding ARE1 I would like to know whether there is any rule in excise that it cannot run into several pages if the item numbers exceed the default page length. My ARE1 will not be clubbed as per chapter id's. It will list down all the different items and the the duty therein. Kindly clarify my doubt as somebody has told me that ARE1 is to be mandatorily a 1 page document as per some excise rule and cannot run into several pages.
