Are we good enough to be a CA?

Hi Friends,

Since last 1-2 year i am a regular visitor of CCI. It is really surprising that some people are using this forum only to blame our Institute. May be they are just beginner or from other professional course.

But i just have some question to those Future CAs..

Are we good enough to be a CA? Had we given our best? How many properly planned hours we have devoted towards exam preparation?

More than 70% starts preparation after result (including me) and do fast track. 25 % prepare for 6 month but with gap not constant. and the remaining 5% are real student who always tried to deliver their best and they succeed too. I too escaped this time, got 40 in Cost. But 40 is nothing but same in rank of 30-50 marks. I too failed a lot of time but never complained institute coz i know i have prepared to get only 50 never thought to get 70 or 80. In Law,MICS n IDT i have devoted a lot n get the result. So if i wish to get only 50 or 55 and institute gives us 45 or 39, so is this fault of institute. Why we haven’t prepared for 80 or 75, if we had then i think this passing % would have been different.

Have we missed any cricket match, movie or outings? No, we have watched all T20,ODI, Sachin 200, all Movies and daily spent day n nights with friends. But still we need CA Certificate. How funny na? Its not university exam, its India best degree in Accountancy. So think from this angle.

Yaar please stop blaming institute and concentrate on studies. i know you all can do that. Institute is to help us and guide us....it has given us degree to earn bread and butter.....so please stop this.

I dont want to say that you people are not worthy, you too are as worthy as me or others, but ya Luck with labor works. Not passed this time na, just promise your parents that don’t worry next time i won’t give any chance to institute to deduct marks. Ek baar sacha promise kar ke to dekho.......

Within a week we are expecting result of PCC/IPCC, so again this blame game will start and who will suffer.........our credentials.........n others students from different profession will laugh on us.....Good na........So just calm down n start a with a fresh approach towards exam. Best of Luck.

Best of Luck to IPCC/PCC students.

And sorry if my views hurts anyone.

Very True

A Harsh Reality which no student accepts. If they accept their mistake, things will surely change.

they are so many students, not having enogh time to even sleep well..

n i agree, its applicable to most of the students.. but not to all

Dear CA. Shashank,

You have spoken the truth which many student don't tell or justify their wrong doings by blaming others.

I have read your various forums. You have shown great courage to come up in life despite all odds. Hats off to you.  You have said indirectly " One should do his job without caring for result"

My best wishes are with you for your professional life.:)

Dear Shashank

In every Field  Majority  are average and minority is intelligent or poor . Now this course require intense Hardwork which is impossible in indirect mode of study. So is need for Coaching classes arises but they kill the student power to explore and self realisation of the depth of topic.

Environmental Circumstances and conditions are more responsible for low focus of students.Better if Students study in Group and strive for constant focussing on  their Study,

Morning Yoga is ideal for achieving state of calmness in mind.

Compare to other fields this course ask for more inputs from students side.

In your case too if only you have done engineering and just devoted 25% of your energy for preparing in 3rd fourth year of engineering for preparing for M.B.A You would have got same return or more than that, Look how you have passed your youth on rajor edge.

There is always two side of picture , Students are also to blame as well as institue

But still we blame our institute...strange na?

"It is always the best policy to speak the truth, unless, of course, you are an exceptionally good liar".The said quote bares it all.All I can say is CA exams are more like a lottery now. Those who haven't passed will have to suffer and those who have passed can thank their stars.ICAI works with full monopolistic attitude and opaque operations. They will do whatever they want, these discussions don't at all matter to them.Students and their parents are suffering while those in power are satisfying their ego with the show of power, this is the grim reality to which everyone tends to turn a blind eye much like to the corruption & loot raj going on in CWG,Delhi.70,000+ students who have passed PE-I/CPT,PE-II,PCC,one group of Finals are not fools. Can anyone give an acceptable reason as to why the pass percentage in finals (both groups) declined from 28.26% in November,2007 to a shocking 3.46% in May,2010?.Is it because students then were more hard working & talented then those appeared after November,2007?.I feel as the ICAI has failed to market the fresh CAs and there are many CAs from the 2006-2009 era who have been underemployed; and in order to mask their own incapability, incompetence they have resorted to mass failings.

even u used to do same thing..its just luck u became CA...otherwise ur wer also one of themmm
