There is an assessee (Pvt. Ltd. Co.) who is engaged in the business of transportation of goods. Some time he takes the services of other transporters (some are individuals & some are companies which is also engaged in the business of transportation) for the delivery of goods for his clients. All of them had provided the PAN No. to the assessee.
Now my question is, Is the assessee (Pvt. Ltd.) is liable to deduct TDS on transporation services received by him ?

if they have Provided PAN No. then there is no need to deduct TDS..

also want to know, if service provider is company then is assessee is liable to deduct TDS even if the company (Service Provider) provided its PAN No. to the assessee.
Whether Transport agency is Company or not, as long as it is GTA, no need to deduct TDS on payment made to GTA if PAN is provided by such GTA.

If my company only paid Transportation Charges over the cutting limit and not paid any TDS challan. Then I need filling TDS return or not.
