Applicable case laws for Nov.09

 If you have read Institute news letter then you are correct. But if you read it elsewhere then it may not be true

 I have my self read the newsletter but the language is not totally clear. Thats why I want u people to go through it once and confirm it.

 In my view just blindly read what ever case law you come across. At the end of the day knowledge is important. so just  read all the important sections of the act  and read landmark supreme court case laws. Forget about asking people whether info is right or wrong .

cos someone one will say its right someone will say its wrong leading to further confusions

If you check the page number 144 of Nov 09 RTP it is given clearly as follows -

Students may note that the Study Material for Indirect Taxes contains all the relevant amendments made by the Finance Act, 2008. Further, circulars/notifications issued up to 30.04.2008 have also been incorporated therein. The following are the amendments which have been made between 01.05.2008 to 30.04.2009. It may be carefully noted that for the students appearing in November 2009 exams, the amendments made by the notifications, circulars and other legislations up to 30.04.2009 are relevant.

 IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS MADE BETWEEN 01.05.2008 TO 30.04.2009

Amendments - Notifications - Circulars and other legislations up to 30.04.2009 are relevant for Nov 2009 exam.
