I had an superannutation fund with my previous employer. After my resignation the employer provided me a LIC annuity policy from the accumulated amount. Kindly let me know the income tax applicability on the yearly amount being received from this annuity.Will the amount be taxed at my applicablet tax slab?

The taxability depends upon whether your previous employer was Public Sector or Private Sector, If Private then was it a Approved or Unapproved superannuation fund.
