In AIS mutual fund units sold get included under RTA and again under Depository category. AIS totals both give the inflated value of MFs sold - nearly twice.

Should one make any comment in AIS or accept the same as  it is and proceed to file return based on the actuals

Please check Your details with AIS & TIS.
Also check Your MF transactions with Your MF provider & Intermediary.

Depository category, or  RTA Category. which one to choose as option D

 

For mutual funds depository category............

means RTA category is right one,

 

and in depository category we have to submit Option D: Information is duplicate/included in other information

means RTA category is right one,

 

and in depository category we have to submit Option D: Information is duplicate/included in other information

As such being duplicate entries one is right and another is duplicate, so one can choose any one being right, stating another as duplicate. In MF generally RTA is right, anyone reporting it again would be duplicate.
