An MoU between IGNOU and ICWAI was signed

Recognizing subjects of study in the Institute of Costs and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) course, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) today, agreed to launch a specialized M. Com in Management Accounting and Financial Strategies as well as a specialised B. Com in Financial and Cost Accounting for the students of ICWAI.



Exemption will be granted in certain common subjects so that students can improve their learning process by acquiring knowledge in new areas rather than concentrating in the same subjects which are covered in the education scheme of the ICWAI course.



A student after passing 10+2 standard examination and registered in ICWAI Foundation Course shall be admitted to B. Com with major in Financial and Cost Accounting programme of IGNOU.And

A student admitted in the professional course of ICWAI or who has already completed ICWAI course shall be admitted to M. Com in Management Accounting and Financial Strategies of IGNOU.



An MoU between IGNOU and ICWAI was signed today by Mr. K. Laxman, Registrar, IGNOU, New Delhi and Mr. J. K. Bhudhiraja, Director, ICWAI, Kolkata at India International Centre (IIC) New Delhi. Prof. V. N. Rajasekharan Pillai, VC, IGNOU was the Chief Guest and Mr. Jitesh Khosla, IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs was the Guest of Honour.
