Amendments for may 2016

Hi all,While referring the idt amendments through ICAI's supplementary book, in few amendments it is written that "it may be noted that this amendment is yet to become effective as the date on which the same will come into effect has not been notified as of now"What should I conclude by this?? Need some clarifications since if it not applicable yet then why have they notified in amendment booklet?Thanks in advance
