My father was the author of the public trust with my grandparents and uncle as the other trustees. After my father's and grandfather's death 3 trustees remain. So myself and my mother wanted to join the trust with my mother being the author of the trust. The trust holds agricultural land post its formation donated by my father.The deed and the land are currently registered in Tamilnadu.
We created an amendment deed and was asked to pass a resolution accepting the incoming trustees. He created a new trust deed mentioning the clauses.The registrar was also asking for an asset and liabilities report from the auditor.What all would be categorized as assets? Is the agricultural land an asset,in that case it attracts a 8% registration fees just to get our names added.
Can someone tell us how to get our names registered in the deed without spending huge sum?
