Amalgamation debenture
in our mcom exam debenture is treated as a part of purchase consideration(PC) and in IPCC it is treated as liability i.e. taken into pc calculation. pls throw some light. what can I do?

No. Payment to Debenture Holders can never be considered as a part of purchase consideration. Purchase consideration is the consideration paid to the owners of the Company, i.e. Equity and Preference Shareholders.
If debentures are issued to share holders along with shares by transferee company
Then debentures will form part of pc or not?
