Hi,

ICAI is dominating ICWAI to get its recognization world wide. Its not allowing to change its name even, which it diserves as per the global standards because it will make true compitetor between the institutes. ICAI wants no competition even though it has statutory authority for signing financial statement. we all know CIMA London 90 years old institute, parant institute of our ICWAI, was previously known as ICWA and then changed to ICMA and then CIMA. It took 90 years to get the Chartred name and 40 years to get Management institute recognization.  The same situation happened with the institute what we have in india long back. fight for name change which ACCA and CAEW was opposing. But finally it acquired what it deserves. It may take some more years but ICWAI will acquire its goals in terms of Management accountancy profession.

ICWA of pakistan, bangladesh, srilanka and usa all have changed their name to ICMA and their respective Chartered Institute never interfeared in it. but it is very sad to see the activities of ICAI in this aspect and the politics it is playing with its co institute ICWAI.

Every body says that name change is not important. If this is the case why ICAI opposing to do so.

Profession should be known by its true name.

Even I claim that ICWAI should be Institute of Chatred Management Accountants of India.

and create its world class standards just like CIMA london.

ICWAI should have statutory right of signing on project management, funds management reports, internal audit report apart from Cost Audit reports.

The INSTITUTE wich can make the organization internally strong and help in optimum utilization of resourses like MEN, MACHINE, MATERIAL, MONEY and assist in taking resonable and approprite decission is one and only ICWAI not ICAI.
